There are many good reasons to do therapy online.
Cost and Time Efficient
Many of my clients find it easier to fit online sessions into their routines. We can meet before school or work, or during your lunch hour. You don't have to commute to the appointment, so you save on gas; you can join my online therapy room in less than a minute with your phone, tablet, or computer. Even if you're sick or visiting friends or family in Montana, you can still make your appointment.
Privacy
No risk of running into someone you know in my waiting room. If you live in a small town, it might also be hard to avoid seeing your therapist in the community, like at the grocery store. Even though I hold the highest standards of confidentiality, having a therapist in another town helps protect your privacy.
Comfort
It's -15 degrees today? No worries, you can log in from your warm living room. Weather aside, many clients appreciate the feeling of doing therapy from the safe and familiar environment of their own home.
There are still advantages to attending in-person sessions, and many of my clients find a mix of online and in-person beneficial.
